After a great first summer in the café (thank you so much to all our café visitors) we are now just beginning our second phase of building: the Hostel. Colin has just started work on the footings and the wooden frame for the hostel building will be arriving early next month. The with the help of a great group of builders it'll be all systems go! We have a big project building the nine bedroom hostel, sleeping 25 adults+, but we have every faith that it'll be shiny and new for our first booked guests at the beginning of May (looking forward to seeing you London Gig Club!). We are perfecting the layout, and in process of starting to order materials and furnishings. The hostel will follow the theme and feel of the recently finished café. Suzy has affectionately renamed it a 'poshtal'. From the plans below we are opening up the lounge to make a communal kitchen-lounge-diner which will enable to those who have larger group or who book the hostel 'lock, stock and barrel' to eat together if they so wish.
